For Lent 2023, the circuit is focus on ‘Sharing Faith’.

We have a series of lent courses which will helps us build confidence in sharing our faith with others. (see more below)

We will also be launching a series of ‘My Story’ video’s, where people share their story of being impacted by evangelism. For more about this click the ‘My Story’ link below.

How will the courses work?

We’ll be running the course in a number of locations across the circuit.

There will be 3 ‘Gatherings’, these are opportunties to discuss, explore and worship and pray together.

Between Gathering 1 and 2, we’ll be running some Six Session courses in each location (through lent).

Between Gathering 2 and 3 you’ll be invited to engage in a ‘Practical Evangelism Project’. It might be developing something that already exists or doing something new. It might be partnering with an event, organisation or group locally. It might be a one-off event or something you do regularly.

FAQs

Why are we doing this?

An audit of churches asking what they were ‘doing well’ and ‘not so well’ revealed that Sharing Faith was something we all found difficult. These groups will help us to be more confident in doing this.

Sharing faith is a key part of Our Calling, and the Methodist Way of Life. As far as we are able, with God’s help:

• We will speak of the love of God.

• We will live in a way that draws others to Jesus.

• We will share our faith with others.

Are there course materials?

Course Materials will be provided by the Circuit but people may make a donation for these if they wish.
